Volunteer Actor - 2020-21 School Year, Summer 2020
Reflections is a volunteer improv troupe that provides audiences with a creative way to discuss sensitive material. I worked with my cast members to prepare and present improvised scenes on a variety of topics such as substance abuse, parent/teen communication, self-esteem, peer pressure, decision-making, prejudice, dating, divorce, and sexuality. I facilitated improv exercises and led discussions that teach participants about resiliency, moving past mistakes, and working together. The goal is to use the performances to provide a forum for open, honest communication.
In 2021 we performed at an educational conference for over 120 Student Assistant counselors from across the state of New Jersey, with the goal of teaching them techniques to utilize in their own schools.

I performed in the community summer theater at ALEOOOP from 2013-2017, progressing from ensemble to the lead. In the summer of 2018, I returned to the program as a volunteer where I assisted the crew and was put in charge of the lighting for the show. In the summer of 2019, I was hired as a Theater Counselor where I helped to cast and choreograph the show, coached children ages 9-13 to learn their lines, and assisted backstage.
